Germany's deepest cave rescue could take days

Rescue teams are attempting to free a 52-year-old man injured in a rock fall in a 1,000m (3,280ft) deep cave in Germany.

The Riesending cave is the deepest in the country and it took one of the man's companions 12 hours to return to the surface to raise the alarm.

Rescuers have now reached him, but the operation could take days to complete.
