John Kerry: US is committed to seeing Egypt succeed
"The United States remains deeply committed to seeing Egypt succeed", the US Secretary of State John Kerry has said, after Washington released $575m (£338m) in military aid that had been on hold.
Mr Kerry spoke at a news conference after talks in the capital, Cairo, with Egypt's newly-elected President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi.
He said the discussion had been "candid and comprehensive" and included issues such as upholding Egyptians' human rights.
