Turkey: Polls close in first direct presidential election

Voting has ended in Turkey first direct presidential election - with a lower than expected turnout.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is up against two opposition candidates - Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu and Selahattin Demirtas.

To secure victory in the first round, the winner has to secure more than 50% of the vote.
