Donetsk airport: Heavy fighting continues as rebels continue offensive

Heavy fighting continues for control of the airport in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk.

Pro-Russian forces have been battling Ukrainian government troops there, raising concerns that a fragile four-week old ceasefire between the two sides may soon completely break down.

At the same time, the centre of Donetsk has also come under fire. Late on Thursday, a Swiss employee of the International Committee of the Red Cross was killed by shelling in the centre of city.
