Catherine Ashton: 'Ebola tsar' plan for European Union
European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton has said there have been discussions about appointing a so-called ''Ebola tsar'' to co-ordinate efforts to tackle the Ebola crisis in Europe.
Speaking at a news conference following a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg, Lady Ashton said she was ''confident'' such a role could be implemented.
''The situation requires a fast response,'' added.
