Police raid Turkish media group critical of Erdogan

Police in Turkey have arrested over 20 employees of a media organisation that has close ties to a cleric who opposes President Erdogan.

The raids come a day after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan promised to renew his campaign against supporters of his rival Fethullah Gulen.

Those detained are accused of forming an illegal organisation and trying to seize control of the state.

The EU say the raids go "against European values".
