Russians splash out to beat rouble fall

As the Russian rouble falls in value - and prices for imported goods look set to rise - Russians have been flocking to the stores, to spend their cash on durable goods before the currency is devalued further.

Car showrooms, electronics shops and furniture stores have all reported a boom in sales in recent days.

They include the Swedish retailer, Ikea, which has seen shoppers splashing out in large numbers.
