Charlie Hebdo attack: Hollande urges ministers to reassure France

French President Francois Hollande has urged ministers to "reassure the population" following the Charlie Hebdo massacre.

It comes after police surrounded a building in a northern town where the two main suspects are said to have a hostage.

Shots have been fired and several people are said to have been wounded in Dammartin-en-Goele, 35km (22 miles) from Paris.

French President Francois Hollande added that there had been "previous foiled attempts" on security in France, but did not disclose details.
