Auschwitz remembered 70 years after liberation

Survivors of Auschwitz have gathered there for a commemoration, 70 years after the camp was liberated by Soviet troops.

The event at the site in southern Poland, where 1.1 million people were killed between 1940 and 1945, will also be attended by leaders from around the world.

Wreaths and candles were laid in memory of the people who died at the Nazi death camp.
