Raffaele Sollecito: 'There were too many horrible moments'

Raffaele Sollecito, who was acquitted last week of murdering British student Meredith Kercher in 2007, has spoken at a press conference, following his acquittal.

He described the last 7 years and 5 months as "unbearable", and that there had been "too many horrible moments".

Mr Sollectio and his former American girlfriend, Amanda Knox, were first found guilty of murdering Ms Kercher in 2009.

They were acquitted on appeal, then convicted again at a retrial.

Italy's highest court then quashed their murder convictions last week, which Mr Sollecito described as "the right ending".
