Exclusive CCTV footage from the Soma mining disaster

The trial has opened in Turkey of 45 managers and employees charged over a mine disaster which killed 301 people.

Eight of the accused, all senior managers, are charged with murder over the Soma coalmine tragedy in western Turkey last year.

BBC Turkish has obtained part of the crucial video evidence that will be used by the defence lawyers, which shows previously unseen moments of the incident.

The CCTV footage shows how some of the victims were preparing for work that day, and it also shows how the rescue operation took place.

The BBC's Rengin Arslan was the first reporter on the site a year ago when the accident took place and describes the footage.
