Armenia mass killing remembered 100 years on

Friday will mark 100 years since one of the darkest periods of the 20th Century, when Armenians in the Ottoman Empire were rounded up and deported.

Huge numbers were killed or died of starvation and disease. Armenia and some 20 other countries call it genocide.

Turkey, the centre of the former Ottoman Empire, continues to dismiss that description as completely unacceptable.
