Ukraine crisis: Yanukovych regrets bloodshed in Kiev

Sixteen months after he was forced from office, the former president of Ukraine has given his first interview to western media.

Speaking to the BBC's Gabriel Gatehouse in Russia, Mr Yanukovych talked about events immediately before his departure.

His overthrow in February last year has come to be seen by some as the start of a new Cold War in Europe.
