French minister: Cameron 'can't pick and choose' on Europe
A French government minister has warned that David Cameron must not be allowed to create a "Europe a'la carte" by picking and choosing which regulations Britain signs up to.
The UK prime minister is preparing to table his proposals for reform of the EU at a summit in Brussels on Thursday.
Mr Cameron hopes to negotiate a better deal for Britain before the referendum on UK membership.
The French economy minister, Emmanuel Macron, has told the BBC's Europe editor Katya Adler that giving special treatment to one member state could lead to the dismantling of the EU.
