Greece forest fires threaten homes in Athens and in south

Firefighters are tackling forest fires in the Kareas district of north-east Athens and the southern Peloponnese peninsula.

Helicopters and planes have been dropping water onto the flames in both regions, and soldiers have been drafted in to help.

Three villages and two summer camps have been evacuated in the Peloponnese area.
