Channel Tunnel: UK offers £7m to boost Calais security

Eurotunnel has revealed that around 2,000 migrants attempted to storm the French terminal at Calais on Monday night.

Police confirmed it was the biggest attempt to make the dangerous journey to Britain in recent weeks.

It comes as Home Secretary Theresa May met her French counterpart to discuss the ongoing disruption on both sides of the Channel.

She promised up to £7m to boost security at Calais.
