The questions that remain over France train shooting

In France, counter-terrorism officers are still questioning a suspected Islamist gunman who was overpowered by passengers on a packed train as it travelled from Amsterdam to Paris on Friday.

It has emerged Ayoub El-Khazzani, a 25-year-old Moroccan, had been flagged by intelligence services in at least four European countries.

He had been carrying a Kalashnikov rifle, an automatic pistol with ammunition clips, and a box cutter knife, according to the French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve.

However, it appears he may not have been well trained, says Hugh Schofield in Paris.
