Alan Kurdi death 'touched millions' says aunt

The photograph of the body of a three-year-old Syrian refugee, Alan Kurdi, lying on a Turkish beach provoked reaction from around the world.

Alan's aunt Tima is in Brussels to deliver a petition organised by the campaign group Avaaz and signed by more than 1.2 million people, calling for a fair and ambitious EU policy to help refugees.

Tima Kurdi told the BBC the death of her nephew had "touched millions of people worldwide".
