German town of Darmstadt throws party for refugees
Germany has taken a lead in accepting refugees over the past month, although it recently tightened its border controls to cope with the influx.
Officials estimate 800,000 migrants will have arrived in Germany by the end of the year - although some expect the figure to be much higher.
Some 91,000 have entered the country since the beginning of September.
The BBC's Jenny Hill has been to the town of Darmstadt where refugees and migrants are being welcomed into Germany.
