French PM Manuel Valls on EU, refugees and terror fight

The French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, has warned that European society could be totally destabilised if the EU lets in every refugee who arrives.

In a wide-ranging interview, he said the migration crisis was putting the entire EU project at risk, not only the EU's passport-free Schengen zone.

Mr Valls also said that the current state of emergency will remain in place in France "for as long as necessary".

Chief International Correspondent Lyse Doucet sat down with him in Davos.
