Pope Francis 'world's most popular leader'

Pope Francis is more popular than any political world leader, according to a new opinion poll.

The poll put him 11 points ahead of his closest rival, President Barack Obama in terms of popularity.

More than half of the world's protestants and even the majority of atheists and agnostics view him favourably, according to the poll, which was conducted by WIN/Gallup International and questioned 1,000 people in 64 countries.
