Huge sinkhole swallows cars in Florence

Parked cars have fallen into a 200m-long hole which opened up on the Arno river bank in Florence.

A section of road near the Ponte Vecchio collapsed and filled with water... and cars.

The sinkhole was thought to have been caused by a burst underground water pipe.
