Russian artist Pyotr Pavlensky fined and freed

The controversial artist who set fire to the door of Russia's security service has been fined the equivalent of$7,000.

This has been seen as a rare show of leniency by Russian authorities.

Pyotr Pavlensky first gained notoriety when he nailed himself to Moscow's Red Square, but it was his torching of the Federal Security Service that landed him in prison,
