French champagne house Taittinger teams up with British wine company

A French champagne house has moved into the English sparkling wine business.

Taittinger is investing in a former apple orchard in the southern English county of Kent.

It has teamed up with a British wine company to buy 69 hectares of farmland and expects to fill its first bottles in five years.

President Pierre-Emanuelle Taittinger spoke to the BBC about the move.
