Massive bridge pillars felled in Limburg, Germany

Concrete bridge pillars in Germany have been demolished.

Rock fragments damaged detonators meaning a second round of blasts was needed.

The pillars which were destroyed were built in the 1960s. A new bridge which can deal with heavier traffic is under construction.
