Brexit trade deal: 'Today is a day of relief', says Barnier

The EU and UK have reached a post-Brexit trade deal, ending months of disagreements over fishing rights and future business rules.

The EU chief negotiator, Michel Barnier, said the deal will now be put to the European Council.

Barnier also paid tribute to all the politicians, citizens and journalists for the part they played in negotiations.

The UK left the EU at the end of January but remains under its trading rules until 31 December.
