Covid-19 pandemic: Venice empty as Italy locks down
Canals, pathways and squares in Venice are deserted as Italy closes due to the fear of a "new wave" of coronavirus outbreak.
Shops, restaurants and schools are closed across much of the country.
For three days over Easter, 3-5 April, there will be a total shutdown.
