Ransomware gangs target firms, schools and hospitals

A global coalition of more than 60 leaders from technology companies and law enforcement is calling for “aggressive and urgent” action against ransomware.

Microsoft, Amazon, the FBI and the NCA have all joined the Ransomware Task Force in making nearly 50 recommendations to governments.

Ransomware gangs are routinely targeting schools, local government and hospitals.
