German frontrunner Olaf Scholz: 'EU and UK will have to work together as friends'

German politicians have been making their final appeals to voters ahead of Sunday's election.

The frontrunner to succeed Angela Merkel, Olaf Scholz of the SPD, spoke to the BBC following a town hall meeting near Berlin.

He said he always worked to build good relationships between Germany and the UK.
