Ukraine: There could be a Russian invasion almost immediately - Truss

The UK government is "very clear there could be an imminent invasion of Ukraine", the foreign secretary says.

Speaking to broadcasters after chairing a meeting of the government's emergency Cobra committee, Liz Truss repeated calls for Britons to leave Ukraine now, while commercial routes are still available.

She said the government was also pursuing a path of "diplomacy and de-escalation".
