French election 2022: What happened on the night?

Emmanuel Macron has become the first French president to be re-elected in 20 years.

The centrist leader achieved 58.55% of the vote, with his far-right rival Marine Le Pen getting 41.45% in a narrower victory than their previous contest in 2017.
