Spain weather: Hail stones and heavy rain in Catalonia

Villages in north-east Catalonia were left flooded and streets covered in ice and hail following a storm on Wednesday.

Eyewitness footage shows cars stranded in the streets of Sant Hilari Sacalm. The recent storms come as Spain registered the driest start to a year since records started.
