Sausage nominated for Pets As Therapy 'Dog of the Year'

A dog who has brought happiness to elderly residents for years is up for an award at the Crufts dog show.

Sausage pays weekly visits to St Ewolds Residential Home in St Helier as part of the charity Hilife Pets As Therapy (PAT).

The charity aims to improve people's health and wellbeing in hospitals, hospices, nursing homes and care homes by providing animal visits.

Sausage is up against five other PAT dogs for the Dog of the Year award.
