Brazil celebrates Rousseff becoming new President

A former Marxist guerrilla has become Brazil's first female president.

Dilma Rousseff won after a second round run off against her centrist rival, Jose Serra.

She is the hand picked choice of outgoing president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, the much loved leader who has overseen the nation's economic and political rise.

Miss Rousseff has promised to continue his policies. Paolo Cabral reports from Sao Paolo.
