Bolivia's fuel prices up by 70%
The government of Bolivia has increased fuel prices by more than 70%.
The price of petrol is to go up by 73% while the price diesel will increase by 83%.
Evo Morales' administration says the $380m state subsidy can no longer be afforded since much of it ends up being smuggled out of the country.
The increased prices have caused the country's main transport union to call for an indefinite strikes starting Monday.
