Fight breaks out in Venezuelan Assembly

Tensions between allies and adversaries of President Hugo Chavez boiled over in the Venezuela National Assembly prompting a fight to break out.

Rival assembly member, Alfonso Marquina, had complained that boisterous Chavez supporters inside the chamber should be silenced, which resulted in an angry congressmen in front of the podium pushing and shoving people.

Marquina and a pro-Chavez lawmaker Henry Villanueva eventually came to blows.

Fellow lawmakers, aided by security guards separated the pair. State television said no-one had been reported injured.
