Obesity burdens Mexican economy

Mexico is the second fattest nation in the world, second only to the United States.

According to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development seven out of 10 Mexican adults are overweight and three out of 10 are obese.

Authorities fear that obesity related diseases are taking the shape of an epidemic affecting not only the population's health but also the country's economy.
