Biofuel production on the rise in Colombia

With its vast sugar cane plantations in the Cauca Valley, Colombia is hoping to become one of the world's leading producers of ethanol.

The Latin American country is investing heavily in its manufacturing operations and now has five production plantations aiming to make 340 million litres of biofuel a year by 2014.
