Protests in Brazil on anniversary of 1964 military coup

Nearly 400 people have demonstrated in Brazil against a ceremony to mark the 48th anniversary of the 1964 military coup.

Soldiers at the ceremony described the 21-year-long dictatorship as a time of economic progress for the country.

But protesters say the military need to be held to account for the deaths and disappearances that occurred during the period.
