Rio hosts environmental summit with polluted bay

Guanabara Bay, one of the iconic sights of Rio de Janeiro, is still blighted by pollution despite the launch of an extensive decontamination programme in 1992 to clean it up.

This week Rio hosts the UN Conference on Sustainable Development, dubbed Rio+20.
