Mexico elections: Pena Nieto vows to build a democracy

Mexico's old ruling party, the PRI, is set to return to power as early official results indicate its candidate Enrique Pena Nieto has won the presidential election.

Partial figures show Mr Pena Nieto of the PRI leading with almost 38%, with Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador of the leftist PRD in second place.

Mr Pena Nieto, said there would be no return to the past and made clear that the fight against organised crime would be a top priority.
