WikiLeaks founder 'is suffering', says his mother
The mother of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange says his health is suffering after more than a month confined to Ecuador's embassy in London.
The activist sought refuge in Ecuador's London embassy on June 19 to avoid extradition to Sweden, where he is wanted for questioning about allegations of sexual misconduct.
Assange contends the sexual misconduct claims are trumped up and that he is being persecuted politically for publishing secretive US documents including diplomatic cables.
A tearful Christine Assange told reporters in Quito, Ecuador that she had evidence that a US grand jury was examining evidence against her son.
