Hugo Chavez takes to Twitter to announce return home

Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez has returned home after two months of cancer treatment in Cuba.

The 58-year-old announced his return on Twitter where he posted three messages, one of which thanked Venezuelans for their support.

The opposition is demanding the government is more open about the president's health, although Mr Chavez has insisted an election will take place if he is too sick to continue as leader.
