Venezuelans on fears for Chavez's health
The Venezuelan information minister, Ernesto Villegas, has announced that the breathing problems of President Hugo Chavez have worsened and he is suffering from a new severe respiratory infection.
Mr Chavez returned to Venezuela last month after being treated for cancer in Cuba, but has not appeared in public since.
Some supporters gathered at a chapel outside the military hospital where he is being treated to offer the ailing president their support and prayers.
Pro-opposition students demanded authorities provide more information about the state of his health.
