Japanese family flees as protesters clash with police is Brasilia
A family of Japanese tourists was caught in clashes between police and protesters near the Mane Garrincha National Stadium in Brasilia on Saturday.
The family were visiting a park near the stadium when the violence broke out. Warned that there were tourists in the crossfire, police helped the family to safety - who then returned to their hotel instead of watching the match.
Brazil has seen a series of protests this month in various cities over the rising cost of public transport, some of which ended in violent clashes.
