Cubans talk about their hopes for the future

Cuba is marking 60 years since the assault on the Moncada barracks led by the Castro brothers - the first act of the island's socialist revolution.

The rebels' goal was a more equal, just society, but ever since Soviet subsidies to the island were cut, Cuba's government has been struggling to keep the system afloat.

It recently launched a series of economic and social reforms that are changing Communist Cuba, opening it up - like never before.

So on this anniversary, our Cuba correspondent Sarah Rainsford has been speaking to people about their lives today - and their hopes for the future.
