Brazil World Cup preparations 'slow', says Fifa president

Brazil's President Dilma Rousseff has insisted her nation will pull off a successful World Cup, despite Fifa criticism that the hosts started preparations late.

Fifa President Sepp Blatter chided Brazil for being slow to get ready for its first World Cup since 1950, in an interview at the weekend.

The tournament kicks off 12 June with a match in Sao Paulo between Brazil and Croatia.

But "many of the promised infrastructure projects simply won't be delivered at all or won't be delivered on time," reports Wyre Davies from Rio de Janeiro.
