World Cup 2014: Brazil friars get into the football habit

A group of friars in Brazil have been entering the spirit of the World Cup tournament - playing football three times a week and praying for the national team.

The sporting seminarians play in their habits - which, they say, impede their speed and movement, but also help them hide the ball from their opponents.

Principal of Santo Tomas de Villanova seminary, Adelcio Vultuoso told Howard Johnson the friars prayed for the Brazil team - but not the results.

''It's the taking part that counts,'' he said.
