Journalists at UN call for release of Al Jazeera journalists
Journalists and diplomats from more than 17 countries have attended a meeting organised by the Correspondents Association at the United Nations to show solidarity with journalists imprisoned in Egypt, including three working for Al Jazeera.
Australian Peter Greste, Canadian-Egyptian national Mohamed Fahmy and Egyptian producer Baher Mohamed have been jailed for seven years by the Egyptian authorities.
They deny the charge of spreading false news and supporting the Muslim Brotherhood.
