Shirin Neshat: Iranian creates art in exile

Shirin Neshat is one of the best known Iranian artists working in the US today.

Living in self-imposed exile in New York, her work is structured around Iran's turbulent modern history - from the American backed coup in 1953 to the 2009 protests that marked a rising call for democracy.

A new exhibition at the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington brings together her award winning videos and latest photographs. Jane O'Brien went to meet her.
